There was a joyful sense of nostalgia at St Sebastian’s Yeronga as our school community stepped back in time to celebrate 70 years of Under 8s Day.
From the moment our gates opened, our youngest learners were swept into a morning filled with colour, creativity and connection. Bell-bottoms and bright outfits set the tone, while hands-on play experiences sparked imagination and laughter. A highlight for many was meeting our very special furry visitors, adding an extra layer of excitement to an already memorable day.
Under 8s Day is always a special occasion at St Sebastian’s, but this year’s milestone celebration brought an added sense of gratitude — recognising the importance of play in learning and the generations of children who have grown through these early experiences. It was wonderful to see families engaging alongside their children, helping create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that truly reflects our community.A heartfelt thank you to our families for embracing the spirit of the day and helping make it so memorable for our students.
