Empowering Students to Make a Difference 

At St Sebastian's, we believe leadership is about service, responsibility and making a positive contribution to the community. 

Leadership is not limited to a badge or formal role. Every student is encouraged to lead through kindness, initiative, respect and care for others. From supporting classmates and welcoming new students to contributing ideas and modelling our school values, students learn that leadership can take many forms. 

In our close-knit community, student voice is valued and nurtured. Students are encouraged to share their ideas, reflect on their learning, set goals and contribute to decisions that shape their school experience. Through opportunities to participate, collaborate and support one another, they develop confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of social responsibility.  

As students grow, they are encouraged to take on increasing responsibility and actively contribute to school life. Whether through leadership roles, community initiatives, peer support opportunities or everyday acts of service, students learn that positive leadership is about making a difference for others. The school's focus on student participation and initiatives such as the Students Helping Students program further strengthens this culture of service and belonging.
