Principal's Message

Welcome to St Sebastian's Primary School, a place where excellence in education meets a nurturing and inclusive community. I am thrilled to extend my warmest greetings to all who are considering enrolment at our wonderful school.

At St Sebastian's, we view education as a transformative journey that shapes young minds and prepares students for a successful and fulfilling future. Our team of passionate teachers and staff provide challenging learning opportunities, catering to the needs of all of our students.   We aspire to develop learners who are curious, resilient problem solvers, who will be empowered to make a difference in our world.

Our community atmosphere is our strength.  Each child's learning needs are known and catered for.  Through the development of strong relationships with others, students' well-being is enhanced.  Parent/school partnerships are valued and there are many ways for families and the school to work and celebrate together.

Our school motto, "Growing in Faith, Love, and Knowledge," encapsulates our commitment to holistic education.  St Sebastian's offers a wide range of extracurricular activities including sports and fitness, drama, coding, chess and instrumental music, allowing students to explore their interests and passions.  Before school, after school and vacation care are also provided.

As an inclusive catholic christian community, we welcome enrolment enquiries from those of all faith backgrounds. Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, we embrace the wisdom of St Mary MacKillop. We aim for our students to act if ever they see a need, be it in the classroom, the school or through participating in outreach activities to assist others. Our behaviour framework centres on the value of respect: for self, others and the environment. Students are taught positive behaviours for learning.

I invite you to learn more about our vibrant community by following our school social media pages.  Join us for our information tours, where you can hear from current staff and students, or contact the office to make an appointment so that we can answer any of your questions. Thank you for considering us for your child's primary school journey!
