We began the week with a colourful parade of characters, as students and staff transformed into their favourite literary heroes and villains. The energy was infectious, with costumes ranging from whimsical to adventurous, each one a tribute to the power of storytelling.
A highlight of the week was our special story time session with Theresa from Quick Brown Fox Bookshop. Her captivating storytelling transported us to faraway lands and enchanted worlds, reminding us of the joy and wonder that books can bring. Theresa’s visit was a beautiful reminder of how stories connect us, spark curiosity, and inspire lifelong learning.

Throughout the week, students engaged in a variety of book-inspired activities designed to ignite creativity and deepen their love for reading. From crafting magical creatures to solving literary puzzles, every activity was a page-turning adventure.
We wrapped up the festivities with a joyful assembly, celebrating the week’s highlights and the incredible effort of everyone involved. It was a moment to reflect on the stories we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the memories we created.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Gardiner, Mrs Jenkins, Theresa, and all the students, parents, and staff who made Book Week so special. A special shout out also to Miss Lammert, Miss Dixon, Miss Karen, Mrs Pappantoniou and Miss Norup for bringing the staff alive as the Queen of Hearts’ Card Soldiers. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and love for stories turned this week into an unforgettable chapter in our school’s story.
Here’s to many more adventures between the pages!
