On Friday many members of our school community participated in National Walk Safely
to School Day.
On Walk Safely to School Day, primary school aged children are encouraged to walk to
school with their parents or caregiver. This encourages healthy habits as well as teaching
vital road safety skills.
It was great to see the walking trains arrive at school accompanied by parents and teachers.
Even participants in Run Club, OSHC and the Instrumental Group got out and did some
walking before receiving a mandarin from our student leaders.
Our thanks to:
- Our students for participating in this activity
- Parents who supported their children’s participation
- Our P&F for supplying the mandarins that were distributed to walkers arriving at school
- The teachers who happily volunteered to support this activity for our school community
